Surveys by utilities indicate a higher level of consumer satisfaction for geothermal heat pump systems than for conventional systems:

  • Polls consistently show that more than 95% of all GSHP customers would recommend geothermal technology to a family member or friend.
  • With no outdoor equipment required, use of a ground loop system improves a building’s outward appearance.
  • GSHP systems do not rely on combustion to generate heat and therefore do not introduce carbon monoxide into a home, eliminating the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.
  • GSHP systems have superior dehumidification abilities compared to air source heat pumps and air conditioners, increasing overall occupant comfort levels.
  • GSHP systems have superior air filtration capabilities because of the use of much larger, more efficient filters, increasing overall air quality and reducing air pollutants within the home.
